Brian Argutto-Owner/NRA Certified Firearms Instructor/Range Safety Officer

My name is Brian Argutto and I am the owner of Bravo Alpha Firearms Training.  Just a little about me, I am a military retiree with 20 years of service. While a member of the military, I was awarded the Air Force Small Arms Expert Ribbon. I am also a former Law Enforcement Officer with the federal government. My background in firearms includes training from the military, FLETC (Federal Law Enforcement Training Center), as well as civilian training through the NRA. I am an NRA Certified Firearms Instructor, as well as an NRA Certified Chief Range Safety Officer.

Our mission is to facilitate the personal safety and security of all law-abiding citizens by teaching them the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to safely operate and handle firearms.  In doing so, we seek to be the provider of choice for all firearms and personal protection training in central Florida.

Based in Spring Hill, Florida, located in Hernando County, we provide basic firearms training that will equip you with the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to safely and legally handle and operate firearms. We offer the following NRA courses: Basic Pistol Shooting, Basic Rifle Shooting, Basic Shotgun Shooting, Home Firearm Safety, Personal Protection Inside The Home, Range Safety Officer and Refuse To Be A Victim.  We also offer a Basic Handgun/Concealed Carry Course.  Successful completion of any of our live fire courses will provide you with the required documentation necessary to apply for a Florida Concealed Firearm License.   We also offer personal one on one instruction to students that need individualized instruction or want a specialized program that meets their particular needs. Personal one on one instruction for individuals allows the instructor to customize their training to the needs of the student.

Defensive Pistol Techniques-Laser Simulation Course

Description:

Our Defensive Pistol Techniques-Laser Simulation Course is a four hour laser based live-fire simulation/scenario based training course, which is geared towards people who want to obtain more advanced skills than just the basics as it pertains to concealed carry and defensive use of a pistol. This course was designed in part to address gaps in concealed carry/defensive pistol training caused by the lack of publicly available shooting ranges that do not allow you to draw a pistol from a holster, engage multiple threats in your environment or move and shoot.

There is NO live-fire using real ammunition as part of this course. However, we do utilize laser and electronic/computer software based training systems to simulate live-fire shooting, which will be used in the scenario portion of this course where you’ll shoot several stages.

The following topics covered in this class will include:

-proper mindset

-situational awareness

-conflict avoidance

-mental preparation

-firearm safety

-high ready

-low ready

-retention ready

-point shooting

-drawing from a holster

-clearing ammo/gun malfunctions

-tactical reloads

-emergency reloads

-difference between cover vs concealment -proper target identification

The cost of this class is $100 per person and since this course does not include a live-fire component using real ammunition, it DOES NOT meet the requirement to use it as the basis to apply for a Florida Concealed Firearm License.  If obtaining a Florida Concealed Firearm License is something you wish to do, please check out our Basic Handgun/Concealed Carry Course or any of our NRA shooting courses, which can be taken in addition to or independently of the this Defensive Pistol Techniques-Laser Simulation Training Course.
